Starting Pixel LIVE! 2026 is a one-day conference dedicated to virtual production and the people working across these industries.

This Access Rider helps attendees understand the venue, plan their visit, and identify the accessibility support available before and during the event.

We recognise that everyone's access needs are different. If there is anything not covered in this guide, please contact us before the event.

Event location

Starting Pixel LIVE! 2026 will primarily take place on the Fourth Floor of Rich Mix.

A dedicated Quiet Room will be available on the Third Floor in the Boardroom.

The entrance to level four from the lifts. A wide open space with windows on one wall. Signs point to “The Mix & Bar” and “The Studio”.

The event runs from 09:00 until approximately 16:30.

Getting to Starting Pixel LIVE! 2026

Public transport

The nearest station is Shoreditch High Street (London Overground). It is 0.1 miles from the venue, approximately a 3-minute walk. The station is served by the Windrush Line and has step-free access between the platform and street level. Shoreditch High Street station on the TfL website.

Other nearby stations include:

Liverpool Street Station

  • 0.7 miles, 15-minute walk
  • London mainline services, Elizabeth Line, Circle Line, Hammersmith and City Line, Metropolitan Line
  • Step-free access from the mainline station
  • Step-free access from the tube is only available on eastbound services. To travel step-free from Liverpool Street to King's Cross St Pancras or Euston, take the Metropolitan line eastbound to Aldgate and stay on the train. After a few minutes the train reverses and travels westbound. To travel to Euston, get off at Euston Square.

Old Street Station

  • 0.7 miles, 17-minute walk
  • Northern Line
  • No step-free access

Aldgate East Station

  • 0.7 miles, 16-minute walk
  • District Line, Hammersmith and City Line
  • You can change between the District line westbound and the Hammersmith and City line westbound, and between the District line eastbound and the Hammersmith and City line eastbound.

Bethnal Green Rail Station

  • 0.7 miles, 16-minute walk
  • London Overground Weaver Line
  • No step-free access

Bethnal Green Tube Station

  • 0.8 miles, 18-minute walk
  • Central Line
  • No step-free access

Rich Mix is also served by numerous London bus routes.

We recommend checking Transport for London's journey planner before travelling.

Arriving at Rich Mix

Main entrance

Rich Mix is located on Bethnal Green Road. The main entrance is step-free and accessed via a permanent ramp.

Reception area

Upon entering the building, attendees will arrive in the reception and foyer area. Starting Pixel staff will be available to assist with:

  • Registration
  • Venue navigation
  • Access enquiries
  • Quiet Room directions
  • General event support

Registration

Registration opens from 09:00.

At registration, the Starting Pixel team will ask for basic information to check you in. They will then give you a wristband for full access for the day.

The team will also have wristbands available to opt out of photography for the duration of the event.

If you require additional assistance, please speak to a member of the Starting Pixel team.

Navigating the venue

Lifts

Lifts provide access to all gallery, cinema and performance spaces throughout Rich Mix. Attendees can use the lifts to travel between:

  • Ground Floor
  • Third Floor (Quiet Room)
  • Fourth Floor (main event)
Lift lobby and accessible route to event spaces.

Fourth floor event spaces

The majority of the conference takes place on the Fourth Floor. This floor contains:

  • Main presentation spaces
  • Demonstration areas
  • Networking areas
  • Accessible toilet
  • Changing rooms

The rooms used during the day are:

The Studio

Our main presentation room, where most of the talks will take place. This room is theatre style with space for 4 wheelchairs.

Cinema 3

Our secondary presentation space. This room is theatre style with space for 2 wheelchairs.

The Mix

Our room for networking. Join us for short networking drinks at the end of the day. Tea and coffee will also be provided here.

The Mix: a long, open, empty room with a dark floor.

The floor may become busy during transitions between sessions.

Quiet Room (third floor)

A dedicated Quiet Room will be available all day on the Third Floor in the Boardroom.

The Quiet Room: a large room with a large board table and seating around it.

The Quiet Room is intended for:

  • Sensory regulation
  • Taking breaks from social interaction
  • Managing fatigue
  • Prayer or reflection
  • Recovering from sensory overload
  • Private time away from the conference environment

The room includes:

  • Comfortable chairs
  • Reduced lighting
  • Fidget toys
  • Sensory aids

The room is a shared quiet space. Please:

  • Keep conversations to a minimum
  • Use headphones if listening to audio
  • Respect the needs of other attendees

Sensory information

Starting Pixel LIVE! is a conference environment and will include:

  • Amplified speech
  • Microphones
  • Audience applause
  • Networking conversations
  • General crowd noise

Visual environment

  • Projection screens
  • Presentation slides
  • Moving video content
  • Variable lighting levels between spaces

Crowds

Crowding is most likely during:

  • Registration
  • Session changeovers
  • Networking periods
  • Lunch

Attendees may leave and re-enter sessions whenever required. The Quiet Room is available all day.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets are available throughout Rich Mix, on:

  • Ground floor (this toilet requires a RADAR key)
  • First floor
  • Second floor
  • Fourth floor

Hearing access

Rich Mix provides hearing loop systems in several event spaces, including the Studio spaces. Most hearing aids can connect by switching to the "T" setting.

For Starting Pixel LIVE! 2026:

  • Hearing loop support will be available in the main presentation space, The Studio.
  • Event staff can help attendees find the most suitable seating position.

Captioning and BSL

Please note:

  • BSL interpretation will not be provided.
  • Live captioning will not be provided.

Presentation slides may vary in format depending on individual speakers.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue. Water can be provided upon request.

Food and drink

Starting Pixel LIVE! 2026 will not provide catering.

Attendees are welcome to purchase food and drinks from nearby local businesses before, during or after the event.

Starting Pixel staff will be available throughout the day. If you need assistance:

Emergency procedures

In the event of an emergency:

  • Follow instructions from Rich Mix staff and Starting Pixel event staff.
  • Venue staff manage accessible evacuation procedures. Evac chairs are available on each floor.
  • If you require evacuation assistance, please inform staff upon arrival so they can arrange appropriate support.
